Are Android mobile phones slowly but surely taking over the mobile phone world?

Android have been about for quite a while now, long enough you would think that they'd be able to develop a mobile phone handset that's capable of imposing some form of serious damage on the iPhone. Well only just recently have they managed to do this which was aided by the launch of the HTC Desire HD. So far as product sales go we do not have exact figures however we can say for sure that in the United Kingdom the shops that had the devices for sale did not have enough supply to satisfy customer demand.

So you may safely say that Android devices are now beginning to get to the light right at the end of a very long, Apple iPhone dominated tunnel. Android initially was pretty much exclusicve to HTC but lately we have witnessed the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S launched which is in a number of ways just as good as the Desire HD and in others not quite as good, but still it is a cracking mobile and there have been a number of other's revealed like computer giants Dell's very first dip into the mobile/smart phone market with the Dell Streak, which it is safe to say is one hell of a handset. It has an astonishingly big screen measuring up to be 5 inches bang on. Some going that for a phone screen, however Dell being Dell really don't do things by half really. I mean this phone is pretty much a laptop, although not just any old laptop, a laptop smaller than your own shoe!

In the event you might quite like one of these handsets, regardless of whether it's a HTC or a brand new Dell or whatever you are certain to find some really good Android deals around on the high-street, because there are several budget Android handsets just like the Wildfire and also some of the far more 'top of the range' handsets such as the HTC Desire HD.
